Continue training to midwives in Luton and Dunstable University Hospital to progress from simply making a referral to adapting a quality intervention to motivate a quit attempt Maternal MECC was delivered to all community midwives. Specific maternal smoking training to be phased through 2015 as a continuation from MECC
Support pharmacies in Central Bedfordshire delivering Stop Smoking services to provide tailored service to pregnant smokers Several pharmacies facilitating Level 2 support with a review of services to be developed through 2015
Conclude on local pilot offering a tailored, significantly developed approach to supporting pregnant women to stop smoking. With a focus on superior intervention from first contact with woman. Pilot completed with performance, quality and % outcomes (quits) increased. Programme now embedded into Public Health
